A message from Nick
Friday December 19th, 2008
Hi there everyone
Nick here, first of all, a big thank you to everyone who has supported Nick Reeve Music throughout 2008 in all sorts of ways! It’s been a busy year. The new recording studio is up and running and I have been working on some exciting projects and with some fantastic artists (watch out for my new album ‘Treat Yourself’ in early 2009, I am just finishing off the last few songs, this is my journey into the electro pop world… ah yes I miss the 80s).
Pianoman gigs have been going well and I have settled into to my Wednesday and Friday residency at Piano on Kensington High Street. My vantage point behind the piano has provided me with quite a few entertaining sites. A few Fridays ago, Ex-Sugababe, the lovely and beautiful Mutya Buena, was sat at the piano, she had been recording the video to her new single in the bar that day. Her crew hung out during the evening, singing along. The build up to Christmas has seen Piano hitting its maximum potential most evenings as individuals, couples and groups come in and share the festive spirit, in every sense. It is not unusual for me to be playing not only the Pianoman role but also crowd controller. I have had to equip myself with a plethora of one-liners that quickly diffuse the over-amorous who think that the Pianoman is at some speed dating event, to the over-eager who need to be told to get off the furniture which includes some ladies(?) (..and it is just women… sorry girls not a good look) that clamber onto the top of the piano normally after several too many sambuccas.
Every night this year has left a different often lasting impression, overwhelming ly that I love what I do and get a buzz from a quiet intimate night to the monstrous party nights that December has brought. And its not over yet, I am heading there tonight (Friday 19th Dec) who knows what’s in store and then the last night of the year is looming, New Year’s Eve is sold out and looking like a big one, I will report back when I have recovered! Merry Christmas and here’s to a fantastic 2009 where it all starts over again!

Poptron - new releases
Monday September 8th, 2008
Poptron - Treat Yourself (single mix) and Saturday
The debut releases from Nick Reeve Music are ‘Treat Yourself‘ and ‘Saturday‘, both taken from the forthcoming Poptron album ‘Treat Yourself’. Both tracks are exclusive to the website and are available to download for 99p each. Poptron’s ‘Treat Yourself’ is a collective electro-pop project drawing together some of London’s brightest vocal, creative and musical talents - a quirky blend of unashamed yet abstract pop music influenced by Daft Punk, Mylo, Prince, Moby and Massive Attack…..
The album ‘Treat Yourself’ will be an electronic collection of bumper-sticker, catchy tunes influenced. Like ‘Treat Yourself’ and ‘Saturday’, the album is fun, quirky, abstract yet direct with a few contemplative moments. A concept album depicting some of the many moods of London from Friday to Saturday.
Poptron has been gaining interest and has already been associated with MTV America, Paddington Bear and the London Marathon…….don’t ask!
Head over to the NRM shop and be the first to discover Poptron!

Mama’s got a brand new bag
Thursday August 28th, 2008
Just when we thought Mama Razzi was sitting quietly on the musical shelf along comes the first official merchandise courtesy of fan Emma Stiling (who also features in the club sequence of the video for ‘As I Kiss You’). She used Mama Razzi as the inspiration for her GCSE textiles project and created a (distinction earning!) shoulder bag.
Emma met up with both Harriet and Nick to discuss the inspriation behind Mama Razzi and then incorporated her originality to successfully produce the Mama Razzi bag. It’s a beautifully crafted multi purpose item with a beautiful and distinct Mama Razzi lining and screen print of the duo on the front of the bag.
Great work Emma!

Annemarie sang in four languages including Swedish for the beautiful song ‘Kristallen’.
