I’m proud to announce that Nick Reeve Music will be presenting ‘Request Show’, our 2nd charity concert event at The Bedford in Balham, South London.

This year I’ve once again chosen to support the Peter Culverhouse Memorial Trust in addition to splitting the proceeds with the Annie Lennox Sing Campaign. All artists are performing for free and we have also kindly been given the venue for free, so every penny we raise will go straight to our chosen causes.

The theme for 2009 is ‘Request Show’. This year, you, the ticket buyer, will have the opportunity to request songs that may be performed on the night. Requests have to be in by 20th April to be considered. At that point we will select from the list of songs requested and create much of the playlist for the evening. After that date, tickets will remain on sale but we cannot guarantee considering your requests, since we need time to rehearse!!!! So get your thinking caps on and let us know your favourite songs, maybe you have some secret guilty pleasures that could just fit perfectly into our concert!!! We want to put together an exhilarating night of music and much of that responsibility is in your hands.

As far as confirmed artists for the concert….. well I am going to hold that rather juicy bit of info for the next mailout. But let’s just say, one band and two groups are confirmed plus a handful of wonderful singers and musicians! All the artists will be jumping on the ‘Request’ band wagon – so if we choose your requested song, you might see an act take quite a unique spin on it!

Two years ago the ‘Future/Retro’ concert raised over £4500. It was a sold-out night to remember packed with stunning performances and electric atmosphere from start to finish. I hope that we can top that this year. Don’t miss out – last time tickets were sold out in way advance of the night! Doors open 6.45pm and there will be a raffle with some great prizes. Show begins 7.45pm.
